Instructional Experience
Caitlin’s multisensory instruction applying the Orton-Gillingham approach includes:
1700+ hours of classroom instruction for groups of two to three students
540+ hours of classroom instruction with a four to one student-teacher ratio
Twelve years of one-on-one tutoring for ages six through nineteen
Additional teaching and tutoring experience includes:
Three years teaching high school English classes of advanced, standard, and learning disabled students in 9th, 11th, and 12th grades
In-school contract tutoring for students struggling academically due to an array of challenges
Private tutoring and writing help for learners who are attentionally challenged; non-native English speakers; and individuals who had not received explicit language or study skills instruction
Caitlin’s work training other educators includes serving as:
Assistant Director and Lecturer at four Key Learning Center teacher trainings
Language Coach at five teacher trainings
Presenter at Key Learning Center Best Practices Symposium
